The establishment was actively supported by FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) in close cooperation with Zentec GmbH and the Aschaffenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The Bavarian Lower Main region has been a founding member and co-partner of FRM GmbH since 2005.

Kuncai Pigments Europe GmbH is a subsidiary of Fujian Kuncai Material Technology Co., Ltd. The company was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. Kuncai has been focusing on the research and development, production and sales of pigments for more than 20 years. The company's products are used in the automotive, coatings, plastics, leather and cosmetics industries, among others. The annual turnover is around 140 million euros (as of 2021). The company has branches in the Netherlands, USA and India and is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The new branch in Großostheim serves to open up the market for new product lines in the field of inorganic white and colored pigments.
In order to successfully continue its expansion course, the company founded a sales company in Germany, the largest single market in the EU. Kuncai Pigments Europe GmbH is based in the Bavarian Lower Main region and can ideally supply and support European customers from this geographically central branch in Frankfurt RheinMain. The initial focus is on the plastics industry. According to Kuncai, it offers high-quality products for this sector. In the medium term, the company plans to address customers from the coatings and paints sector.

Kuncai Pigment Europe GmbH will initially start with a team of four people at the Industriehandelspark Süd in Großostheim.
