IT Consulting Company Wiser Technology Opens Office in Frankfurt

Wiser Technology (BUL:WISR), an IT consulting and software services company originating from Bulgaria, is opening its German subsidiary in Frankfurt am Main. Wiser Technology GmbH aims to establish a strong presence in the German market. The goal is to increase the number of projects in the DACH region. At its Frankfurt location, Wiser is building a local team to serve customers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Nordic countries. The establishment of the office was supported by FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH – International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) in close cooperation with Frankfurt’s economic development agency.

Mike Josef, Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FRM GmbH, stated: “Frankfurt Rhine-Main offers innovative, internationally oriented companies like Wiser Technology excellent location conditions from which to develop the DACH market. IT consulting companies find exactly what they need here: direct access to leading industrial and financial clients, Europe’s largest internet exchange DE-CIX, and numerous universities and research institutions. This combination makes our region an ideal location for high-tech companies with global ambitions.”

Wiser Technology is the successor of Bianor, founded in 1998 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The brand Wiser was established in 2024 following a series of M&A transactions that unified several software service companies in Bulgaria and Serbia. The same year, Wiser was named the country’s fastest-growing IT company. The company develops innovative solutions for clients in aerospace, automotive, financial services, as well as telecommunications, and media. Its customers include, among others, Airbus, ESA, Leonardo, IBM, UniCredit, Nokia, and Bosch. The company collaborates with IBM, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, SAP, McKinsey Digital, and EY Digital.

With the Wiser AI Factory initiative, Wiser Technology is driving the secure and scalable adoption of artificial intelligence. For this, the company was honored as “Innovative Company of the Year” in 2025 at the 21st National Innovation Forum, a leading platform supported by the European Commission in Bulgaria and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The IT consulting firm’s services include implementing AI models, migrating to modern cloud infrastructure, digital transformation, and customized software solutions—while complying with the highest cybersecurity standards and international safety-critical project norms.

Wiser operates as a holding company with subsidiaries in Serbia, Germany, the United States, and the UAE.  The company is listed on the premium segment of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange under the ticker WISR, and is part of SOFIX - the leading stock index on the BSE.

“The launch of our Frankfurt office marks a strategic step in advancing Wiser Technology’s European growth agenda. Establishing a presence in Germany provides direct access to one of Europe’s most dynamic technology markets, deep pools of highly skilled talent, and significant public-sector opportunities,” said Ivaylo Slavov, CEO of Wiser Technology. “Frankfurt will serve as a key hub for strengthening our operations across the DACH region and the Nordics, enabling us to work more closely with clients and partners in these markets. It also supports our plans to pursue a dual listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, further expanding our access to international investors. With the strong support of FRM GmbH, we were able to establish our presence in the region efficiently and lay the foundation for long-term growth,” Slavov added.
Wiser Technology’s Frankfurt office will initially operate with a lean team of up to five people, with plans to scale as project activity in the region grows.

“There are already several Bulgarian companies represented in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region—particularly in the IT and services sectors. For example, Electricity EOOD has been implementing projects in electrical and building services engineering since 2016. We are currently observing that Bulgarian companies are increasingly expanding their presence in Germany—often through subsidiaries or as project partners. Bulgaria’s accession to the eurozone will further accelerate this development: exchange rate risks and transaction costs will be eliminated, making investments in the German market significantly easier,” said Eric Menges, Managing Director of FRM GmbH.

Since 2024, FRM GmbH has been in close contact with Wiser Technology and supported the company throughout all phases of its establishment. International location marketing provided comprehensive market information on the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region, advised on legal forms, bank account openings, tax matters, and start-up costs, and facilitated contacts with relevant networks and the Frankfurt economic development agency.
