FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) has a new shareholder. Since January 1, 2023, Region Fulda GmbH has been part of the international location marketing of the Frankfurt RheinMain Region. The notarial deed of accession was signed today in Frankfurt. With this, Region Fulda GmbH takes over 0.75 percent of the shareholder shares in FRM GmbH. Shareholders of Region Fulda GmbH are in equal parts the district of Fulda, the city of Fulda and the Fulda Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Dr. Christian Gebhardt, President of the Fulda Chamber of Commerce and Industry: "The Fulda economic area has long been part of the Frankfurt RheinMain metropolitan region and is closely intertwined with Frankfurt. The closing of the gap in the A66 highway has brought our companies even closer to the metropolis, and thousands of people commute between the Frankfurt RheinMain region and our district every day. Therefore, it is only logical that Region Fulda GmbH becomes a shareholder of FRM GmbH. We hope that this will put the district of Fulda more in the international spotlight, create new connections between international companies and local players, and also attract foreign companies to settle in our region."

Many citizens of the district already work in the Frankfurt RheinMain area - in economic marketing, we can now move even closer together and work together and benefit from the synergies," says Bernd Woide, County Commissioner of the Fulda district.
The district of Fulda, with its nearly 225,000 inhabitants and 99,000 employees subject to social insurance contributions, is characterized not only by a broad mix of industries, but also by the high number of small and medium-sized enterprises. Very few of these companies have their own departments or employees for international relations and are therefore dependent on advice and exchange of experience.
From the cooperation with FRM GmbH, Region Fulda GmbH expects not only inquiries from companies from abroad, but also insights from other shareholders of the international location marketing. In addition, this would improve the range of services offered by the company's own business development department: "The city of Fulda is an international and dynamic location. Contacts across the globe, companies that operate internationally, but also skilled workers who move to Fulda from abroad to work are an important element of our economic development. As a shareholder in international location marketing, we are closing a gap here and will be able to make our economic development more effective in the future with the expertise of FRM GmbH," says Dr. Heiko Wingenfeld, Lord Mayor of the City of Fulda.
